The project predskolska.ba originated in June 2016 years in the form of an information portal for parents of preschool children (O-6). Due to the unavailability of information on the development of preschool children and the difficulties that can be found in this unique and worthy of attention every way, it is more than necessary to have portal like this. Portal contains four main categories: child development, parenting, difficulty in developing and scientific corner. The portal is designed primarily for parents, but also those who want professional training (educators, students, professors). Unfortunately, the society in which we live does not recognize differences and prejudices that occur between children with disabilities and children without such problems. All the more reason for the existence of such a portal, where they will meet the parents of children regardless of which group belonged.
What makes the portal the most engaged, is to inform parents about basic characteristics of the development of children. Knowledge about, giving more opportunities for parents to detect deviations in development (ie. The difficulties in development) and approaches to early intervention, which is vital for the child’s recovery. Also, the portal deals with basic facts and challenges of parenting, whether it’s about motherhood, fatherhood or environmental factors, which have an increasing influence on the decisions and behavior of parents.
There are several objectives that we have set as priorities:
Our tasks are defined our goals, which is why we want to act individually to each parent, but also the wider community. This we intend to achieve this through:
Scientific Forum, which contains essays by students and professors of preschool education, and the latest research conducted in universities around the world, opens horizons, as those involved in the development and education of children of preschool age, and those who want professional training. The availability of all current materials in one place certainly gives greater opportunities for research in our region, which is of great importance.
Parents now have a place where they can find all the information, advice and guidance. Each stage in the child’s development is crucial, therefore, is more than needed to be, as a parent, prepared in advance. Knowledge gives greater opportunities for parents especially if it comes to a certain disorder in the developing world, where early intervention makes a difference between a child who at the time receive the necessary help and the one who receives.
